About The
Illustrator and Author
Ariela
Vita, the illustrator,
graduated from
La Guardia High School in New York City in 2006
where she majored in dance. She has lived in Rome
and San Francisc where she attended art school.
Currently, she lives and works in NYC.

Sjoukje Kay, the author
& Ariela's mother, grew up
watching her father stand on his head. Thus began
her love of yoga. In 2001 she began to train to
become a yoga teacher. She has trained with many
fine teachers. But the more yoga she practiced,
the more she realized all of her yoga took her
back to where she first began, observing the
moment and her first yoga teacher, her father.
